Hi all, Sorry to have had to cancel class today. I’m not feeling well. I think I caught the stomach bug that my son had last week. We’ll finish up Thursday discussing the final chapter of Plan B 3.0 and will have a couple of early presentations of the final project. If there’s time, we’ll finish watching the film. Here is the updated events list for the spring Sustainability Project. Several of you were asking about it. You can also view the list and other resources on the Sustainability Committee webpage.
Here are the instructions for the investigation project.
The Investigation project is due at final exam time: Tues. 3/17 noon to 2PM. You can email me with your ideas for the project or just touch base with me in class. We will also have a brainstorming session in class. One thing that came up after class today was the fact that most everyone said that the one thing they’d do differently is to spend more time researching their issue in more depth and detail and include more specifics. The discussions were really fruitful and I think this is the best aspect of this class–everyone sharing and learning from one another. I’m only sorry I had to cut some questions and comments off for lack of time…and we still didn’t finish presentations. Well, it’s a good problem to have as far as I’m concerned. You guys are great! If you would like to pursue further research in the area you worked on for essay #1 you can do that here with the investigation project.
I’ve set up the instructions for the final blog post, due 3/9. See “Posts” for your options for this one.
Hi:
Just saw a note that there’s a noon time “Lunch and Learn” TODAY on Rainwater Harvesting. It is going to be at the Bureau of Development Services downtown Portland, 1900 SW Fourth, Conference Room 2500A. I am going to shoot down there, realize it’s really short notice but thought if you were available you might want to stop in. I’ll take good notes and pass some information along. Or on my new blog. at http://www.pnwrainwaterharvesting/wordpress.org (I think that should get you there, need to confirm….)
Have a great weekend!
Tim
